A word on inshore rods -
"The inshore rods I prefer to build are based on my philosophy - performance first, flash second, minimalist style rods. For example split grips or no grips, a low thread & finish covering the guides, and cut down skeleton style seats, anything less to keep performance robbing weight off the blank. If you stick with this approach, your lightweight graphite blank will out shine anything you have ever fished.
Of course your rod will be built to your specs, down to the last tic of thread. So, if you want vibration robbing full grips and old school heavy, over sized guides on your IM20, proprietary, buckey ball, helium filled blank, you pay good money for, you won't hurt my feelings." Ernie
